The results of the grand project underway at the historic S&W Cafeteria Building are beginning to emerge. As the snow fell Friday on Asheville, The S&W Artisanal’s new '20s-style bar, The Times at S&W, prepared for its first night of business.The remainder of S&W Artisanal is slated to open later this month. It will include an upscale restaurant, a casual dining spot, a bakery, a coffee bar and an authentic Greek market. The Times, just left of the S&W's front entrance, is the first part of the restaurant to open, though a music club called Ellington Underground is already thriving in the historic building's basement. With crystal chandeliers and gold leaf on the walls, The Times is meant to evoke the era in which the circa-1929 S&W Cafeteria Building was designed.
